Sorry, was 94/95 not the Hartson+Kitson season. We struggled that year too so that's why I get them confused.

Holmes and Hutchison x2 were our scorers.

We beat eventual Champions Blackburn 2-0 and drew with Man Utd to hand Blackburn the title.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool at home?
We usually lose, so I'll only mention the better omnes

Won 3-0 in the Hartson/Kitson season. Hutchison and Moncur amongst the scorers IIRC.

Noble's last minute penalty. Foul on Ljungberg I think.

4-1 cup win with Ince doing the business.

They arrived fully expecting to hammer a poor West Ham team and to be fair we actually played well for once and don't forget this was before managers fielded weakened teams.

Last home game of the season in 84/85 season. We didn't put in any effort at all. Only game I left early.

18th December 1976 West Ham 2 Liverpool 0
Bill Jennings and Sir Trev on the sheet

Utterly unexpected win as we had been abject since the a first game 4-0 home drubbing by Villa, we lost game after game languishing 1 off the bottom when the mighty Red arrived.

I can't describe the shock and excitement derived from this win, the only other notable win was a 5-3 against the Yids a few weeks earlier

The Liverpool fans were in shock too, they had been awful and their fans took a battering around the ground as revenge for the treatment our boys received at Anfield the previous season

a very satisfactory days work all round IMHO

LYALL OUT, that Sandy Clarke game was surely the 3-1 win in '83 only few clubs beat them that season, Pike & Goddard with the other 2 i think for us. I remember an old feller proper cutting his head open when he accidentally got bashed into the terrace stanchions celebrating the third goal.

It was mental over there at times, and loopersville when we scored.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool at home?
I've forgotten most of the Liverpool games I've been to over the years, apart from the one where Sandy Clarke scored in the early 80's, the 4-1 League Cup win in 89. I was in the Chicken Run that night and my Red British Knight Trainer came off during one goal celebration and then I found it after another. The 0-0 draw that was live on telly and they wore a terrible green kit. Beating them with Hartson in the team in the late 90's, and recently Noble's last minute penalty win.

I tend to forget most games to be fair.

Probably about ten years ago, think Michael Owen was on some kind of scoring duck, which when broken, to put them in the lead, prompted Sammy Lee to run onto the pitch celebrating.

That cunts always around at a new club each year now. Never heard the bloke speak, but for that he'll always been an irritating shrew faced twat.

Far to many nightmares.
I remember back in 1970, the previous week we won away at Derby county (4-2) then played Liverpool .at home. They were re building there team from the 60's. They had two reserve strikers and they both scored ( Jack Whitham and Phil Boersma) in there 2-1 win ( think Jimmy Greaves scored for us).
A happier memory was when we beat them 2-1 in the league cup 5th round, we went on to play Stoke in the semis.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool at home?

A personal favourite of mine was threatening to throw a scouser off the upper tier of the West Stand after he celebrated yet another Liverpool goal... I think we lost 3-0.

Going back to when they had Torres at his best I had ST's for my lad and I in the West Upper three rows back in the Sir Trevor end just above chav corner.

This particular game I think Torres scored really early in which was the cue for three Mickey's sat three rows back to get up and give it the big 'un, which proved to be costly as two of 'em got clumped badly.

Unfortunately, they each had kids with 'em, but still insisted in getting involved in a row with the locals. In my view, they got what they deserved and were eventually bombed out with plenty of claret.

I did, however, feel sorry for the kids who were also in a terrible state having witnessed it all.

Way back in the day, December 76, they came to us as champions and we outplayed them on a sea of mud, winning 2-0 Billy Jennings and Geno goal 4 mins from time wrapping it all up rather nicely

I think it was when Don Hutchinson (then playing for us) scored and helped us stay up. Was it 2-0.

The one I remember most was the one where as holders of the FA Cup in 75 we drew them at home in the 3rd round at home at got beat 2-0, and after the game every single scouse supporters coach that was parked. In Central Park Rd getting smashed to bits. Unbelievable scenes. I was 16 at the time.
